FIELD TRIP, JULY 26-28: CHAMA RIVER FLOAT TRIP, REGISTRATION OPENS MAY 15

Our Chama float trip with FLOW was cancelled last summer when dam repairs diminished the water flow. We’re back again this year with NMBGMR geologists Drs. Paul Bauer and Matt Zimmerer, who recently published a new geologic guidebook of the Chama, as trip leaders. We’ll run the river from below the El Vado dam through the designated Wild and Scenic River section to the Big Eddy take-out above Abiquiu Reservoir.
Trip dates: Friday – Sunday, July 26-28th, 2 nights on the river.
Leaders: Drs. Paul Bauer and Matt Zimmerer, NMBGMR

Limit: 15 total: 13 participants & 2 trip leaders. 8 minimum for trip to go.
Fee: $775. Includes transportation from Durango and back, all meals, river gear, geologic river guidebook and boatmen’s tips.
Registration Opens: Wednesday, May 1st for those who registered last year. A link will be sent by email.
Wednesday, May 15th for everyone else. Use link on website.
Drop Date: Friday, July 5th. Trip cancelled if minimum registration not reached.
Cancellation: Dates and policies will be posted closer to the opening of registration.
