Come hike Sand Canyon with the FCGS! Dr. Kim Gerhardt is leading a day trip, where you can view faults, uranium mines, Glen Canyon Fm, the Najavo SS through the Morrison Fm, aeolian, sabkah and braided fluvial EODS, Ancestral Puebloan alcove sites, McElmo Done CO2 and hydrocarbon plays. Downloadable field trip guide will be posted soon.
After trip, participants may wish to visit the Sutcliffe Vineyards Tasting Room ($10pp) or a microbrewery in Cortez (Wild Edge Brewery).
