We Empower Tomorrow's Geoscientists

For over three decades, the FCGS and its charitable Foundation have empowered the next generation of geoscientists through scholarships, research grants, and educational opportunities that advance the geological sciences.

We believe that investing in bright minds today creates the geological leaders of tomorrow—professionals who will solve critical challenges in natural resources across the Four Corners region.

Foundation Leadership

Our dedicated board of directors brings decades of geological expertise and nonprofit leadership to guide the Foundation's mission of supporting the next generation of geoscientists.

Cindy French, President - Petroleum geologist (retired)
Mary Gillam, Vice President - Geologist (Colorado Geological Survey)
Patti Phillips, Secretary - Petroleum geologist (retired)
Peter Mesard, Treasurer - Geological engineer (semi-retired)
Michele Tuttle, Director - Research geochemist (retired)

Please join our team of volunteer directors!

The FCG Foundation Board of Directors consists of 3 to 6 volunteers who serve rolling 3-year terms. Each year we need to recruit one or more new directors from the FCG Society's membership. Please consider volunteering for a directorship. By serving, you'd make important contributions without investing much time on average. And we have fun!!

Please contact any of the current directors for more information.
